The film “When You Finish Saving The World” will be released in Japan on January 19, 2024.
The film is directed and written by Jesse Eisenberg, who played Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network,” and the script is based on a radio drama he created for Audible. The film was produced by Flute Tree, founded by Emma Stone, who won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in “La La Land. Up-and-coming film studio A24 is also producing and distributing the film in North America.
The story depicts the human drama of a parent and child. The story is about the differences between Evelyn, a mother who runs a domestic violence shelter, and Ziggy, a high school student popular for his live-streaming on the Internet. The film stars Julianne Moore as Evelyn, Finn Wolfhard as Ziggy, Alisha Boe as Lila, a high school girl Ziggy has a crush on, and Billy Blick as Kyle, a boy who comes to Evelyn’s shelter for help.
Along with the decision to release the film in Japan, a poster visual for the Japanese version was also released. Evelyn and Ziggy are standing next to each other, looking at each other, and a copy of “Family is Sometimes Difficult” is placed on the poster.
