Illiomote has released a music video for the title track “I.W.S.P.” from its new EP “I.W.S.P.,” which was released on Wednesday, September 13.
The video was shot in Ikebukuro, ILIOMOTE’s hometown, and features locations that are dear to their hearts. It was directed by Takuma Kawahara.
The EP contains five songs, including the lead single “BABY END” and “MY SUPER GOOD FRIEND”. The members have also commented on the release.
I have released the EP “I.W.S.P.”!
YOCO (Vo,Gt)
I challenged myself to create this work with the intention of destroying the cages that bind me. I also faced up to the discomfort with “normality” that I had been holding until now, and completed the EP.
The music video was created with the thought, “I wonder what I would think if I saw myself back then as I am now. I shot the music video on a street that I used to walk along when I was a student, wondering “What would I think of myself back then if I saw myself now?
It’s been a while since I made a video, so please watch it.
I made this album more open than the previous one by writing songs from riffs and consciously adding guitars.
MAIYA (Gt,Sampl)
I hope many people will listen to this album, as it is a mixture of pop and rock music of “illiomote,” and I was particular about the arrangement, chords, and beat!
We shot the music video in our Hood Ikebukuro! We shot the music video at our footprint in Ikebukuro!
The band will also hold a solo live concert at Daikanyama UNIT in Tokyo on November 24 (Fri.) Pre-orders for tickets are now being accepted until September 18 (Mon.).
