The date for advance ticket reservations for “The Complete Works of Katsuhiro Otomo: AKIRA Celluloid Exhibition OSAKA ” has been set for September 15 (Fri.) at 18:00. At the same time, a key visual was also unveiled.
The exhibition will be held at SPACE14 in Shinsaibashi PARCO from October 6 (Fri.) to 24 (Tue.). The exhibition will feature more than 650 of Katsuhiro Otomo’s personal celluloid drawings and handwritten layouts selected by Otomo himself from the “AKIRA” books published as part of the first phase of “OTOMO THE COMPLETE WORKS,” a collection of the complete works of Katsuhiro Otomo.
The exhibition is divided into “NEO TOKYO,” “NIGHT-MARE,” and “CATASTROPHE” scenes to provide a glimpse of the film’s design, and was planned and composed by Otomo himself. The “NIGHT-MARE” scene will be reproduced in a photo spot where visitors can take pictures. The background music at the venue, which also attracted attention at the Tokyo exhibition, is a remixed version of “Symphonic Suite AKIRA” by the performing arts group Yamashiro, with participation by Makoto Kubota and Yasuhiro Konishi.
