The trailer and poster visual for the film “Shajiku”, which will be released on November 17 (Fri.) at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku and other theaters, have been released.
The film is based on a novel of the same title written by award-winning poet/novelist Kosano Suguru, who has published numerous tanka poems incorporating the perspectives of sexual minorities. This coming-of-age film depicts the love triangle between a gay wealthy man, a college girl, and a host living in Kabukicho, Tokyo.
The main cast consists of Seito Yano, who is currently starring in the tokusatsu drama “King Ojya,” new actor Uri Tiniki, who was selected through an extensive audition, and Asumu Mizuishi, who most recently appeared in the film “Kikaijima. The film is also supported by a cast of talented actors including Lily Franky, Mariko Tsutsui, and Eiji Okuda.
