“ASTEROID CITY EXHIBITION,” an exhibition commemorating the release of Wes Anderson’s latest film “Asteroid City,” will be held at GALLERY X BY PARCO in Shibuya PARCO, Tokyo, from August 25 (Friday) to September 4 (Monday).
The exhibition will display costumes worn by the cast in the film, which will be released on September 1 (Friday), as well as props and materials for the making of the film. In addition, a photo spot will be set up, and original goods such as logo T-shirts and socks will be sold.
In addition, “ASTEROID CITY POP UP CAFE” will be held at a special venue in Shibuya PARCO from August 25 (Fri.) to September 10 (Sun.). Special drinks and food inspired by the film will be on sale, and events will be held on the 1st, the day of the film’s release, and the following day, the 2nd, by the Japanese sweets shop “Kantan na Yume” and the coffee shop “drip”.
In addition, J-WAVE’s ” Aji na Sousou -voice of food-,” navigated by food essayist Sakiko Hirano, will feature Wes Anderson’s food with designer Yoromoa Oshima as a guest on the August 25 (Fri.) broadcast at 24:30. The program will unravel Wes Anderson’s worldview through the food that appeared in “Asteroid City,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “The Darjeeling Express,” and other films. The program will also be available via podcast starting Monday, August 28.
