A jazz festival ” Kobe Jazz Centennial ” will be held on October 22 (Sun.) at six venues around Sannomiya and the Old Settlement area in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.
This event is one of the Kobe Jazz Centennial commemorative events to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first jazz performance by a professional band in Japan in 1923. To convey the appeal of jazz, the festival will be held on six stages spread out in the city center of Kobe, and is free of charge for everyone to enjoy.
Takuya Kuroda, Akihiro Yoshimoto, Kaito Nakamura, and the Kobe Centennial Jazz Orchestra will be the first guest artists to perform on the main stage in the Higashi Yuenchi Lawn. In addition, 37 artists selected from approximately 150 groups from the general public will also perform.
The event is now accepting applications for the executive committee and volunteer staff for the day of the event through a dedicated page.
