The exhibition “WORLD CLASSROOM: Contemporary Art through School Subjects” commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Mori Art Museum, will be held at the Mori Art Museum in Roppongi, Tokyo, from April 19.
The exhibition introduces contemporary art in eight subject areas: Japanese, Social Studies, Philosophy, Arithmetic, Science, Music, Physical Education, and General. Works by 54 artists, including Tomoko Yoneda, Yasumasa Morimura, Tatsuo Miyajima, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Sam Falls, Johanna Billing, Christian Jankowski, and Jacob Kirkegaard, will be on display.
In addition, for the first time in a special exhibition at the Mori Art Museum, more than half of the exhibited works are from the museum’s collection.
