Gen Hoshino has revealed additional dates for his arena tour, Gen Hoshino presents MAD HOPE.
This marks Hoshino’s first nationwide tour in nearly six years since his 2019 dome tour. Kicking off on May 15 (Thursday) at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Aichi, the tour will visit seven locations across Japan, including Hokkaido, Saitama, Miyagi, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Okinawa, totaling 14 performances. Tickets for the general sale, which opened on February 22 (Saturday), sold out almost immediately.
The newly announced extra shows include performances at Kyocera Dome Osaka on September 21 (Sunday), and K Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa on October 18 (Saturday) and 19 (Sunday), bringing the total to three additional dates. Tickets will be available for early access on Hoshino’s membership site YELLOW MAGAZINE+, starting February 26 (Wednesday) at 1 p.m.
In addition, Hoshino recently shared a session video for his new single “Eureka” on January 28 (Tuesday), available on YouTube and TikTok. “Eureka,” the theme song for the TBS drama Madoka 26-sai, Kenshuu-i Yattemasu!, which started airing on January 14 (Tuesday), is Hoshino’s first new song in about a year following “Hikari no Ato / Seimeitai.” The session video features a stripped-back arrangement with only an electric piano, played by his backing band’s keyboardist Yasuhiko Sakurada. It was filmed at Hoshino’s private “808 Studio,” which also serves as the hub for his upcoming album, set for release this spring.
