The “CARRY IN PROJECT: Marunouchi 15-chome Project” a theatrical performance by the performance group Akumanoshirushi, will be held in Marunouchi, Tokyo, on September 20 (Wednesday).
The”CARRY IN PROJECT” is a project by Akumanoshirushi to design and create an object that “looks like it might not fit into a certain space but just barely fits in,” and to actually carry it in as theater. The project was conceived by director Noriyuki Kiguchi, and has been held in various locations in Japan and abroad.
This project, the 25th in three years, is designed to take place along Marunouchi Naka-dori Avenue, with passersby as the audience, and the route is set along a 720-meter stretch from the Marunouchi Building to the Shin-Yurakucho Building.
For the implementation of the project, the Yurakucho Carry-in Preparatory Room has been set up on the first floor of the New Yurakucho Building, where the design and production process and the progress of the project are open to the public, and will also serve as a place to exhibit documentary images and objects after the completion of the carry-in.
