“THERMAE ANCIENT ROME,JAPAN,AND THE JOY OF BATHING” will be held at the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art in Kofu, Yamanashi, from September 9 (Sat) to November 5 (Sun).
The exhibition consists of “Thermae: Ancient Rome and Public Baths,” “Life in Ancient Roman Cities,” “Baths in Ancient Rome,” “Thermae and Art,” and “Bathing Culture in Japan,” and displays over 100 works, including paintings, sculptures, and archaeological materials, as well as videos and models. The life in ancient Roman cities and Thermae (public bathhouses) as well as Japanese bathing culture will also be introduced.
Related events such as lectures and ancient Roman dinners are also scheduled. Check the official website for details.
