The art festival “Rokko Meets Art Art Walk 2023 ‘beyond'” will be held at nine venues on Mt. Rokko in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, from August 26 (Saturday) to November 23 (Thursday, national holiday).
“Rokko Meets Art Art Walk 2023 ‘beyond'” is a contemporary art festival held in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. Under the theme of “Beyond Representation,” this year’s festival will take place at ROKKO Morino Sound Museum, Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden, Rokko Garden Terrace area, Rokko Cable (Rokko Cable Station, Sanjo Station, Tenran-dai), Trail Area, Church of the Wind area, Rokko Arima Rokko Ropeway Rokko Summit Station, Hyogo Prefectural Mt. Rokko Visitor Center (Monument Stand), and Mt. Rokko Silence Resort (former Mt. Rokko Hotel).
In addition, four new measures are being implemented to enhance the content of this year’s festival: “expansion of invited artists,” “development of a base area that will become a symbol of the festival, with some works exhibited for an extended period,” “establishment of a new trail area,” and “creation of opportunities for children to come into contact with contemporary art.
