A new limited-time venue, “ZERO-SITE Takanawa Gateway,” will open at Takanawa Gateway City, directly connected to Tokyo’s Takanawa Gateway Station. To celebrate its launch, a special opening event will be held from March 27 (Thursday) to March 29 (Saturday).
Operating for 120 days until July 31 (Thursday), “ZERO-SITE Takanawa Gateway” will transform into a night museum bar on weekdays and a music bar & club on weekends. The venue features a 700-person capacity event space and lounge, complete with three bars.
The 3rd-floor event space will introduce Japan’s first-ever installation of Danley Sound Labs’ cutting-edge speaker and subwoofer system, renowned for its powerful sound. Meanwhile, the 2nd-floor lounge will feature an audio system by VOID ACOUSTICS, a brand highly praised by top DJs for its crystal-clear sound quality.
Adding to the immersive experience, the venue will also showcase a 27-meter LED ceiling display and introduce Japan’s first kinetic art installation.
The three-day opening event will kick off on March 27 (Thursday) with a pre-opening day, featuring DJ performances by TOMOYUKI TANAKA (FPM), SUGIURUMN, Leo Gabriel, and KATIMI AI.
On this day, admission will be free from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, offering visitors a chance to experience the unique atmosphere of the new club. Notably, March 27 also marks the grand opening of TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY itself.
On March 28 (Friday), entry will be invitation-only for a special event titled “Music Empowers Women,” held in partnership with VOGUE JAPAN.
The event will feature DJ performances by ELLI ARAKAWA, N² (Kyundes), nasthug, PELI, and RISA TANIGUCHI, along with live performances by MFS and Peterparker69.
Titled “The Opening,” the event on March 29 (Saturday) will bring together top artists from Japan and around the world, including KEN ISHII, DRUNKEN KONG, DJ SODEYAMA, and GONNO.
This event also serves as the kickoff for “CLUB AFTER DARK,” a nightclub series held on Friday and Saturday nights, featuring leading DJs and VJs from Japan and abroad.
Looking ahead, the event will feature “Rainbow Disco Club,” an outdoor dance music festival celebrating its 16th edition in 2025, as well as the “FFKT” outdoor music festival, which has been held in places like Ogiso in Nagano and Shimoda in Shizuoka. These, along with other popular domestic and international festivals and parties, will be producing events.
Additionally, a diverse lineup of artists including DJ YAZI, CHIDA, Shhhhh, MARI SAKURAI, MASANORI MORITA (STUDIO APARTMENT), KANDARTA, RYOHEI, SHINGO TAKAHASHI, SHINGO NAKAMURA, EVE, 80KIDZ, and ZEN-LA-ROCK have been confirmed, with further announcements about overseas guests and more details to be released in due time.
