Scottish rock band Franz Ferdinand is set to make their long-awaited return to Japan this December, performing in Tokyo and Osaka as part of their Japan Tour 2025. This marks their first Japan tour in three years.
Formed in Glasgow in 2001, Franz Ferdinand first gained international attention with their 2003 debut single Darts of Pleasure. Their self-titled first album, released in 2004, became a massive hit, selling over 5 million copies worldwide. Over the past two decades, the band has surpassed 10 million total album sales and accumulated 2.5 billion streams. In January 2025, they released their sixth studio album, The Human Fear, produced by Mark Ralph.
The Japan tour will kick off on December 9 at Namba Hatch in Osaka, followed by a December 11 performance at Tokyo Garden Theater in Ariake.
