The event aims to revitalize Shibuya, a center of culture, through art initiatives involving the latest technology. The main artist invited is FriendsWithYou, based in Los Angeles, USA.
FriendsWithYou, whose motto is “Magic, Luck and Friendship,” was formed in 2002 by Samuel Albert Borkson, born in Miami, USA, and Arturo Sandoval, born in Havana, Cuba. The unit was formed in 2002. On Saturday, January 13, “Little Cloud Sky,” an installation of 19 floating clouds, each 2 meters in diameter, will be exhibited on Zelkova Avenue in Yoyogi Park, and on Saturday, January 13, “The Happy Dancing Rainbow Alliance,” a performance of works presented by the unit around the world will stride along Shibuya Park Avenue with a musical band.
