Born 1985 in Niigata Prefecture, Tokyo-based photographer. After graduating from Rissho University with a degree in philosophy from the Faculty of Letters, he worked at Gaien Studio and later moved to Nagasaki, where he learned photography through interactions with Shomei Higashimatsu and other unknown photographers he met. Major exhibitions include “KYOTOGRAPHIE” (2015), solo exhibition “KAIKOO” (Yuka Tsuruno Gallery, 2021), “VOCA 2021” (The Ueno Royal Museum, 2021), “The 14th Yebisu Film Festival” (Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, 2022), solo exhibition “ONSEN” (Taka Ishii Gallery Photography / Film, 2024), an exhibition at the Condé Nast headquarters building in New York, and a European tour with the performance piece “Doors”. Major collections include “Tsugi no yoru e” (self-published, 2013), “ground” (lemon books, 2014), “RAMA LAMA DING DONG” (private edition, 2015), “Into the Light” (T&M Projects, 2017), “Doors ' (Gallery Yamaya, 2020), and 'ONSEN MMXXIV' (flotsam books, 2024).
