#Yoko Yamanaka

Born in 1997 in Nagano, Japan. Withdrew from Nihon University College of Art. His self-taught first film “Amiko” was selected for the “PFF Award 2017”. The following year, at the age of 20, he was invited to the “68th Berlin International Film Festival” as the youngest director ever, breaking the festival's record for the youngest feature film director. When the film was screened at Polepole Higashi-Nakano, it set a late show attendance record. Her first full-length feature film, “The Namibian Desert,” was entered in the 77th Cannes International Film Festival Directors' Fortnight and won the FIPRESCI Prize, making her the youngest female director in the history of the festival.
