Born on July 13, 1993, in Hyogo Prefecture. Actress and artist. She is active in a wide range of genres, including music, film production, and art. She voiced the protagonist, Suzu, in the 2016 theatrical animated film *In This Corner of the World* (directed by Sunao Katabuchi), for which she received the Special Jury Prize at the 38th Yokohama Film Festival. In 2022, she won the “Best Leading Actress Award” at the 46th Japan Academy Film Awards for her starring role in the film *The Fish Child* (directed by Shuichi Okita). Her major recent works include the drama series *Kanako’s Happy Life as a Hitwoman* (2025 / DMMTV), “Shinkansen Explosion” (2025 / Netflix), “MISSKING” (2025 / ABEMA), the film “After the Quake” (2025 / directed by Tsuyoshi Inoue), and “You Are Beyond the Summit” (2025 / directed by Junji Sakamoto). In her music career, she is scheduled to embark on a nationwide tour titled “Non Jiyuu (10) Tour 2026” starting October 18. Her creative work—which has continually challenged the boundaries of free expression without being confined to the categories of acting, music, film, or art—has been highly acclaimed, and in 2024, she was awarded the 16th Itami Juzo Prize.
