NEWFOLK × CLUB QUATTRO Debut Co-Hosted “FOLKs” Series with Yamanifutsu and Tamaki Roy

The music event series “NEWFOLK × CLUB QUATTRO presents ‘FOLKs Vol.1′” is set to take place on Friday, July 11, at Club Quattro in Shibuya, Tokyo.

This collaborative project brings together NEWFOLK, a record label known for releasing works by artists like Lucky Old Sun, Typhoon Club, and Yanushi, and CLUB QUATTRO, a live music venue that supports local music scenes nationwide. The series aims to foster a gentle solidarity—referred to as “FOLKs”—through a shared appreciation for artistic expression that exists alongside everyday life.

The first installment of the series will showcase two acts: Yamanifutsu, a four-piece band exploring alternative pop while also engaging in design and stage arts, and Tamaki Roy, a versatile musician who blends performing arts and picture book creation with a playful approach to the interplay between words and sound.

The visuals were created by Sanki Takayama, who previously performed with the Kyoto-based band Volleyboys and now works in music and graphic design. Alongside these two announced acts, who are active beyond the music field, an opening act is also scheduled to perform at the show.

Advance ticket sales are open until Wednesday, June 25, at 11:59 PM. General ticket sales will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at noon on Saturday, June 28.
