The lineup for the free live shows at “J-WAVE presents INSPIRE TOKYO 2025 -Best Music & Market- supported by Expedia,” taking place from July 10 (Thu) to 13 (Sun) in Tokyo’s Shibuya, Harajuku, and surrounding areas—has been revealed.
Originally launched as “J-WAVE LIVE” in 2000, this long-running music event has evolved into a full-scale urban culture festival, combining music with Tokyo-exclusive food and market experiences. The 2025 edition will span multiple venues, including the Yoyogi Park Outdoor Stage & Keyaki Promenade, LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, Tokyu Plaza Harajuku “Harakado”, and Tokyu Plaza Omotesando “Omokado.”
The free live concerts will be held at Yoyogi Park’s outdoor stage on July 12 (Sat) and 13 (Sun).
On July 12 (Sat), the stage will be produced by various J-WAVE programs:
- From “KDDI LINKSCAPE,” program navigator TENDRE will perform.
- Chippoke Ohashi, known for his “COVER ME” segment on “ALL GOOD FRIDAY,” will take the stage.
- Cocolashika and Yuuga will perform as part of a showcase from “GRAND MARQUEE,” featuring the “MARQUEE RECORDS” (aka “Makireko”) spotlight on emerging artists.
On July 13 (Sun), J-WAVE presents four rising artists they’ve selected as noteworthy acts:
Furui Riho, JIJIM, S.A.R., and NIKO NIKO TAN TAN (DJ set as “微笑坦々”).
The timetable for the event has also been released, with details for July 11 (Fri) still marked as “Coming Soon.”
In addition, at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, where tickets are required, a special live event will be held on Saturday, July 12 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Eiichi Otaki’s Niagara Records. Kan Inoue will produce the sound, and guest appearances by Shigeru Suzuki, Taeko Onuki, Takaya Kawasaki, Night Tempo, and Marina Watanabe have been announced. 13th (Sun), the first event of the weekday night wide program “GURU GURU!” will be held, featuring Sho Kaga (Kagaya), Dow 90000, Mitsuho Fukudome, Yuta Maeda Sho Kaga (KAGAYA), Dow 90000, Mitsuho Fukudome, Yuta Maeda (Timondi), Evers, and Geronimo Suzuki will appear on the program.
