The final lineup for the highly anticipated FESTIVAL FRUEZINHO 2025, set to take place on Saturday, June 14, at Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tokyo, has been unveiled.
FESTIVAL FRUEZINHO, an urban music festival, is a spin-off of the FESTIVAL de FRUE held annually in Kakegawa, Shizuoka. Since its debut in 2022, the event has been held around the time of the summer solstice. Previous lineup announcements have already generated excitement, featuring notable acts such as Medeski & Martin—the American duo consisting of keyboardist/composer John Medeski and drummer/percussionist Billy Martin. Also joining the festival are Brazilian artists Mônica Salmaso & André Mehmari, as well as Chicago-based post-rock group Tortoise. Japanese musician Eiko Ishibashi was also confirmed as part of the lineup.
The final announcement introduces two additional performances that will take place in a special, open stone-paved area located at the back of the main stage. The performances will include an improvisational session by dancer/choreographer Kaori Kogure and drummer Billy Martin, as well as a solo performance by Brazilian guitarist and producer Fabiano do Nascimento.
Tickets for the event’s “Early Bird 2” phase are currently available for purchase. These tickets are limited and will be sold out once the set number of tickets is reached. Afterward, general advance tickets and day-of tickets will be available for purchase.
