YAJICO GIRL will release their two-disc album EUPHORIA DLX on Friday, February 7.
The five-member band YAJICO GIRL won various awards at auditions like Unidentified Festival and MASH FIGHT! in 2016. They describe their activities as “Indoor Newtown Collective,” and began their career with indie guitar rock. Over time, they have evolved their sound, incorporating elements of black music and dance music while adapting to changes in trends and times.
Since late 2023, the band has leaned more into dance music, establishing an energetic, danceable sound in both their live performances and recordings. EUPHORIA DLX, which is set for release, includes DISC 1, the band’s latest album EUPHORIA released in November 2024, and DISC 2, which features re-arranged or re-recorded versions of four previously released tracks along with two remixes.
The lead track is “NIGHTS – Re-recorded,” a live re-arranged version of their 2019 release “NIGHTS.” The original, which was a mellow pop-rock song with an urban vibe, has now been transformed into a vibrant dance track. Incorporating hardcore bass sounds, the new version has a club-like, trance element.
Following the album release, the band will hold a solo live show, YAJI YAJI SHIYOUZE 2025. The shows will take place at Umeda Shangri-La in Osaka on February 21 (Friday) and at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO in Tokyo on March 7 (Friday).
