VIVID SOUND, a veteran indie label with over 50 years of history, will host its event BEST PLAY on March 9 (Sunday) at Shimokitazawa THREE in Tokyo.
The event will feature live performances by STAP Sigh Boys and Magic, Drums & Love, both of whom have released music under the label. Additionally, Magic, Drums & Love producer Matsuda “CHABE” Gakuni will perform as a DJ.
STAP Sigh Boys, an alternative rock band based in Tokyo with roots in Ireland, is known for their surreal and interactive performances that incorporate shadow plays, ventriloquism, magic, and party games, which have earned them high praise. On the day of the event, they will also celebrate the release of their single “Empathy (共感放送!)” on February 28 (Friday), performing with a full band.
On the other hand, Magic, Drums & Love was formed in 2015 by three individuals who were living without fixed addresses and jobs. Their music spans various genres, from soul and disco to rock ‘n’ roll and Latin influences, spreading a sense of euphoria with every track.
