chelmico has released their new single “LIGHT UP.”
The track was created through a collaboration with the “Yokohama Night Illumination 2024-25,” an event taking place from November 1 (Friday) to March 2, 2025, showcasing the city’s iconic tourist spots and shopping districts. The producer of the song is Stones Taro, who is also behind the lead track of MFS’ debut album COMBO, released this year. Stones Taro, known for his energetic tours abroad, including in Australia, teams up with chelmico for the first time on this vibrant dance tune that perfectly complements the dazzling night views of Yokohama.
The release also features comments from chelmico members Rachel and Mamiko.
Rachel: The song matches the sparkle of the illumination, but don’t be fooled—it’s actually quite aggressive, though still very pop! It’s a track that can rock both the city and the dance floor! I might have exaggerated my rap a bit more than usual, but I’ve always wanted to try this kind of style! I’m curious to hear what you think!

Additionally, chelmico is set to perform alongside Umeda Cypher at their self-organized live event, chelmico presents “Kanpai Land” vol.3, which will take place at LIQUIDROOM in Ebisu, Tokyo. Official pre-sale tickets are available until 11:59 PM on November 10 (Sunday).
