Fukuoka-based singer-songwriter Daito Yamamoto’s single “Babel” was released on August 14 (Wednesday).
In 2023, Daito Yamamoto released the EP “∞” and in 2024, the singles “Spring Binding” and “Digital Noise Running.” Based in Fukuoka, he is also the lead vocalist and guitarist for the five-member band Art title. As a solo artist, Yamamoto handles all arrangements and mixing himself, characterized by abstract yet vivid lyrics, diverse melodic sensibilities, and a dazzling vocal style.
The track “Babel” is a summer tune with increasing vocal intensity and an impressive live band sound featuring saxophone and piano. It was selected for J-WAVE’s “SONAR TRAX” in August and has been highlighted on the Spotify playlist “RADAR: Early Noise,” drawing significant attention from music media immediately after its release.
Additionally, Yamamoto is set to appear as a guest on TOKYO FM’s “THE TRAD” on August 15, J-WAVE’s “GRAND MARQUEE” on August 21, and will perform cover songs based on show themes on J-WAVE’s “ALL GOOD FRIDAY” on August 23 and 30.
