DONGURIZU has announced that they will host a free event called ‘HACHA MECHA’ on August 3rd (Saturday) and 4th (Sunday) at the JR Kiryu Station North Exit Plaza in their hometown of Kiryu, Gunma.
After declaring their independence from their management company in April and releasing their first new album in four years, ‘DONGRHYTHM,’ on Sunday, June 28th, DONGURIZU is gearing up for ‘HACHA MECHA.’ This music festival, held in conjunction with the ‘Kiryu Yagibushi Festival,’ is dedicated to “those who love festivals and parties!” The first event in 2023 featured performances by DONGURIZU, Shinichi Osawa, Ao, tzbasa, and more. The second edition in 2024 will be expanded to a two-day event, with further details on performers to be announced soon.
Crowdfunding for the event began on Monday, July 1st. Depending on the amount pledged, supporters can receive goods and music, and some tiers offer the chance to appear on DONGURIZU’s FM Kiryu radio show, ‘Donguri Bomb,’ as a guest.
Additionally, the ‘DONGRHYTHM’ album is scheduled for CD release on Wednesday, July 17th, and will be available on vinyl on the first day of the event, Saturday, August 3rd.
