The tracklist for Kenshi Yonezu’s 6th album, “LOST CORNER,” set to be released on Wednesday, August 21st, has been revealed.
This album, the first in nearly four years since 2020’s “STRAY SHEEP,” includes the theme song for the current NHK drama series “Tora ni Tsubasa,” titled “Sayonara, Mata Itsuka!,” the theme song for the summer 2023 movie “Last Mile,” titled “Garbage,” the theme song for Hayao Miyazaki’s film “The Boy and the Heron,” titled “Globe,” the theme song for the movie “Shin Ultraman,” titled “M87,” the theme song for the game “FINAL FANTASY XVI,” titled “Tsuki wo Miteita,” and the opening theme for the TV anime “Chainsaw Man,” titled “KICK BACK.”
On Friday, June 28th, the tracklist was revealed alongside the cover art drawn by Kenshi Yonezu. Eight new songs, including “Margherita + Aina the End” featuring Aina the End as the vocalist, have been added, making a total of 20 tracks on the album.
Additionally, details about the four different CD formats were announced. The “Garbage Edition” includes artistic “garbage” goods packaged in an objet d’art case. The “Video Edition” comes with a Blu-ray/DVD featuring all 23 songs performed at the Yokohama Arena finale of the “Kenshi Yonezu 2023 TOUR / Kuusou,” including the encore, packaged in a tin case with a digipack and booklet. The “Regular Edition” also has a limited first-press version. Each edition offers a visual experience that complements the album’s world.
