【Mai Ishiguro’s comment】
Until now, for me, portraying a family in Ibaraki dialect has been a process of capturing memories and nostalgia in my work. In this play, however, I depict the present, the uncertainty toward the future, and “living” within each family member. Although facing the future and confronting one’s inner self can be frightening, I hope that through the small family in this work, we can share, look down on, and overcome these feelings together. The venue is a gallery next to a café, which we believe is a very suitable place for a work that is both a special space and a connection with the outside world. We look forward to seeing you there.
