Atarashii Gakko! third full-length album “AG! Calling” will be released for distribution on Friday, June 7.
Atarashii Gakko! made their world debut in 2021 as “ATARASHII GAKKO!” on the American music label “88rising”. They have been performing energetically in various locations, including two consecutive weeks as the closing act on the Gobi Stage at the world’s largest music festival “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival” (Coachella) and a successful solo Budokan concert in January in Japan.
“AG! Calling” includes “Tokyo Calling,” the opening number for the Budokan performance and also performed at “Coachella,” and “Fly High,” the theme song for the Netflix movie “Hanma Baki vs Kengan Ashura,” which will be released on June 6 (Thursday). This is the first full album release from 88rising in approximately five years, since “Wakage Ga Itaru” in 2019.
In conjunction with the release, the band will also be holding a “World Tour Part II” starting in September, traveling to 11 locations in North America. Tickets will go on pre-sale on Thursday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. in each city, and will go on general sale on Friday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. in each city. The “World Tour Part I” will start in June, starting with “Primavera Sound 2024” in Madrid, Spain, and will tour 13 cities in Europe and Asia.
In Japan, the tour is scheduled to visit 7 cities from November to December. The advance tickets for members of the fan clubs “Atarashii Gakko no Seisyunbu” and “AG! SEISHUN CLUB” are available by lottery until May 13 (Mon.).
