We’re admirable, aren’t we?
Kutsuna: After I found out Miran was singing, I listened to a lot of songs. Like “Tenshi no Kiss” (Angel’s Kiss), I really like the way it makes me feel gentle and calm when I listen to it. I don’t like crowded places like Shibuya, but listening to Miran’s songs makes me feel at peace in such places.
Miran: Let’s have the music video played on Shibuya’s street vision again.
Kutsuna: Oh, that would be great.
Any difference between listening to Miran’s music and talking to her?
Kutsuna: They are very similar. There is no gap. I don’t know how to put it, but she has a gentle voice.
Miran: Kutsuna must have an ear that responds to voices, since she can distinguish them in movies.
Kutsuna: The music video for “Tenshi no Kiss” was amazing. How many days did you shoot it for?
Miran: I don’t know. We went to 14 places in 2 days. Before I moved to Tokyo, I had a hard schedule of coming from Osaka, packing up all sorts of things for the shoot, and then going back home again.
Do you have any concerns about your future activities?
Miran: On the DAW’s TV program (“Weekly DAW News”), Kutsuna was on location with Kano of A-Masso (” Kutsuna’s Moped Refueling Trip” ). She asked Kutsuna, “How are you doing these days? And she said, “I have to give everything I got!” Then, I thought that was really true. I just have to do it. I might not be able to score full all the time, but even if I scored 40, I would do it anyway and say, “I did my best.”
Kutsuna: Yes, I’m not at the phase of worrying about it yet.
Miran: But I think that’s only for now. I’m a little afraid of what will happen when requirements become higher.
Kutsuna: I feel bad if I can’t progress at all.
Miran: I don’t think it will stay this way forever. I’ve been doing this for about six years now, and I don’t get a clear response every day, but there were always points where I suddenly felt I’ve grown, which keeps me going. It’s great to say, “I’m going to do it! That’s also a great thing.
Kutsuna: It means that there is someone who accepts you.
Miran: Yes, it’s admirable if you do it with gratitude.
Kutsuna: That’s admirable!
Miran: We always stay positive with each other like this (laughs). Kutsuna tells me things like, “Today I did this at a radio station in Akasaka, and that one in Shibuya,” and I say, “That’s great!” Everything was within walking distance when we were in school. But now every day is such an adventure in Tokyo. I’m grateful to have friends to take a pause and speak to.
