TAMATAMA FESTIVAL 2025 has unveiled the full program, timetable, and map for this year’s festival, scheduled for Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, around Tama Center Station in Tama City, Tokyo.
Now in its third year, the festival is produced by NiEW, a platform supporting alternative culture, with special sponsorship from Keio Corporation, which aims to promote community-driven revitalization along the railway line.
The event will be centered on three main zones: NiEW TOWN PARTY, TAMATAMA PALACE, and TAMATAMA PARK. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities including outdoor live performances, a culture market, a curry festival, performances, talk sessions, a dedicated kids’ area, local festival experiences, and interactive workshops. Entry to all areas is free.

The recently announced details include the lineup and programs for each zone, the venue map, and the two-day timetable.
At NiEW TOWN PARTY, spanning the Parthenon Boulevard area down to the Parthenon Tama Grand Staircase, NiEW will present a special edition of its free-entry music event exPoP!!!!! titled “exPoP!!!!!@TAMATAMA2025 supported by Keio Corporation”.
On the first day, Saturday, October 18, six acts will perform: Sakura Fujiwara, Shota Araya, Empty, Kazuyoshi Nakamura (Acoustic Session with Shinichi Ito & Hibiki Yoshizawa), Yuka, and Hashirikomi’s.
On the second day, Sunday, October 19, another six acts will take the stage: Maya Ongaku, Yūtai Communications, Mom, THE BAWDIES, Guiba, and Kiichi Mochizuki.


The NiEW TOWN PARTY area will also host Tokyo Curry Culture in TAMA, a special curry festival curated by Akira Matsushiro (Curry Cell), organizer of the JAPANESE CURRY FESTIVAL, with nine vendors now confirmed.
In front of Tama Center Station, NiEW STREET will feature a marketplace with workshops, sports club demos, and exhibitions, alongside the Portrait Plaza and a talk tent called “Second Semester Friends.” Additional events include the TAMA Festival Open Mic, a sitcom screening and family concert by the comedy troupe Aa (Tomorrow’s Aa), and the NiEW ZINE MARKET.
At TAMATAMA PALACE in Parthenon Tama, the 2nd-floor open studio will host NiEW MARKET, a cultural market focused on ZINEs and lifestyle goods, complemented by celebrity talk shows and interactive programs. On October 18, the theater comedy unit Tenten Hanten will present a special edition of “Makanai Radio”, and there will be an American comic talk live, “10 Secrets of Marvel & DC You Didn’t Know.”
The 4th floor will feature MUSEUM for NEWTOWN and the tomoto Kids Area. MUSEUM for NEWTOWN temporarily transforms Tama City into a two-day pop-up museum, showcasing exhibitions, screenings, art goods, and workshops by creators and artists connected to Tama New Town. tomoto Kids Area offers creative and kitchen lab activities for children, run by NiEW’s community culture space tomoto, including corinth games, tin-can fishing, badge-making, leatherwork, and plant-dye workshops. Family-friendly performances will also take place at Kodomo Hiroba OLIVE.
Meanwhile, meeting rooms 3 and 4 on the 4th floor of Parthenon Tama will operate as NiEW Theater Room, hosting theater workshops, talks, and screenings.
At TAMATAMA PARK in Tama Central Park, the Chuo Park Autumn Festival supported by Keio Corporation will feature a community singing contest, acoustic performances by Natsuki Kawanishi and Yoshiki Iwasawa (boyish), a traditional Bon Dance with DJs, kids’ dance shows, street performers, food trucks, festival stalls, and inflatable play areas, offering activities for children and families alike.

The avant-garde comedy troupe Tomorrow’s A (Asu no A) presents a family-friendly selection of their sitcom series A’s Sitcom, including a curated screening and talk session. Their popular songs “Naruhodo Desu ne” and “A’s Sitcom Song” will be performed in a family concert.

Profile: Founded in 2015 by web writer Eito Okita, Tomorrow’s A explores humor beyond traditional comedy, performing in Tokyo small theaters with actors and collaborators.

Try out the global sensation geography game GEOGUESSR! Visitors can participate in a hands-on experience corner guessing locations from photos, and watch official tournament commentators explain maps and battle live on stage. Minecraft Experience (Oct 19 only)
Keio Corporation hosts a Minecraft workshop as part of Japan’s first nationwide Minecraft contest. Aimed at elementary and middle school students who are new to the game, instructors from KEIO eSPORTS LAB. will guide participants through basic gameplay.

At the terrace in front of the large pond and the kids’ terrace in Tama Central Park, the Autumn Festival brings a variety of seasonal fun.
Family Fun: Kids’ dance, street performances, food trucks, festival stalls, and inflatable play equipment ensure there’s something enjoyable for everyone.
Nodojiman Singing Contest: Co-created with local residents, this singing competition features special guests including singer-songwriter Natsuki Kawanishi and the idol unit Kanojo no Serve & Receive, performing a lineup of beloved songs for a lively and entertaining experience.
Bon Odori & DJ Dance: Enjoy local and traditional dances, including Tama City’s Nagayama Ondo. Participating groups include Bon Soir, Hanaue Minyo Ryuei-kai, and renowned summer festival performers, DJ Bon Odori masters Chinbantei Gorakushi & Hinawajyu Boys, who have appeared at festivals across the region and the country.
