The space experience facility “Space Travelium TeNQ” opens on Friday, November 22, at Tokyo Dome City in Suidobashi, Tokyo, along with its inaugural special exhibition, “LEGO® Space Exhibition in TeNQ.”
“Space Travelium TeNQ” serves as the successor to the “Space Museum TeNQ,” which closed in March 2023. The new facility centers on the theme of space travel, featuring 10 unique areas offering various exhibitions and interactive experiences.
A key highlight is the “SORAVEL LINE,” a VR area where visitors can wear head-mounted displays and walk freely to simulate a trip to the moon. The “Butler,” who guides guests on their lunar journey, is voiced by renowned voice actor Yuichiro Umehara.
The exhibition area “Space Terminal” offers an interactive learning experience where visitors can see, touch, and even smell elements of space while exploring information about space and the future of space travel. Other zones include the “Exploration Room,” where guests can engage with science and art while learning, and the “Satellite Gallery,” which showcases the innovative challenges of products, companies, and organizations operating in the space field. The facility also serves as an educational and social hub centered on space.
The lounge area, “LOUNGE Q,” is an immersive space surrounded by stunning starry skies and cosmic vistas. The adjacent café, “TeNQ CAFE 138,” offers drinks and desserts inspired by space and stars. Meanwhile, the museum shop, “TeNQ Space Store,” features a wide selection of space-themed merchandise.
The exhibition “LEGO® Space Exhibition in TeNQ,” running until May 18, 2025, in the venue’s special exhibition area, is a collaboration with LEGO Japan. Following the company’s buzzworthy release of various space-themed products in 2024, the exhibition features a wide range of space-related LEGO products, including those inspired by NASA. Visitors can enjoy panel displays exploring LEGO Group’s history, a “spot-the-difference” display with over 100 models of the LEGO® Creator 3in1 Astronaut, and other highlights.
Interactive experiences include a creative building space themed “Let’s Build the Future Lunar City Together,” photo spots, a keyword scavenger hunt, and more. Additionally, the exhibition will host special sessions of the LEGO® Block Workshop at select times during its run.
