There are competitions and tournaments for comedy circles, and we decide who is the best in Japan. However, just because you join the circle doesn’t mean you are serious about becoming a comedian. Some people join because it is advantageous for job hunting.

Kojima: It seems that standing in front of people helps them evaluate their communication skills as different from others or something, and some of them have become very successful salespeople.
Takano: It’s hard enough just to speak in front of people, but to make them laugh is a very advanced skill.
Kojima: So until now, it was difficult to say out loud that you were in comedy, but nowadays it is possible to say so without hesitation.
