The “30th Anniversary Tamagotchi Grand Exhibition” takes over the Roppongi Museum from January 7 to February 2, 2026.
Launched in 1996, the digital pet that became a global sensation—“Tamagotchi”—has evolved through 38 models and expanded to more than 50 regions, surpassing 100 million units shipped as of July 31, 2025.
The exhibition dives into three decades of “Tamagotchi” history and offers immersive, hands-on installations that pull visitors straight into its pixel world. A limited-edition collaboration model, “Original Tamagotchi Collaboration Mitsuhiro Higuchi,” created with creative director Mitsuhiro Higuchi, will debut at the venue, along with exclusive event-only merchandise.

The exhibition requires advance reservations for all dates and time slots, with a special ticket option that comes with the “Tamagotchi Shakashaka Pouch.” Tickets are available through a lottery-based presale on Lawson Ticket until Sunday, November 30.
