On Saturday, June 21, Sōtaiseiriron unveiled the 2025 version of their video for the song “Geshi” (Summer Solstice). The video is available now on the official MIRAI Records YouTube channel.
Originally released on their 2016 album Tensei Jingle, “Geshi” has become an annual tradition since 2021, with a new video released each summer solstice on Sōtaiseiriron’s official social media and MIRAI Records’ channel. The video is distinguished by drawings from Etsuko Yakushimaru and features the date of the summer solstice for the respective year embedded within.
This year’s edition introduces motion effects created by Takashi Yamaguchi, known for his work with the artist collective d.v.d. Alongside the video release, a special version featuring guitar overdubs by Seiichi Nagai was shared on X (formerly Twitter), adding a fresh musical layer to the track.
