Different listeners have different views. That’s why Rakugo is so interesting.
Celeina: I heard that you yourself produce rakugo performances.
Tachibana: I decide on a theme each time, and change the content of the meeting depending on the occasion. From October 2022 to 2023, a popular rakugo storyteller named Niyou Katsura will hold a project called the “Niyou Katsura Challenge” four times, inviting masters Ichinosuke Shunputei and Master Tsurube Shofukutei to take on the challenge. In 2024, it has been decided that we will hold a meeting called “Netaoroshi”, where she will challenge herself by presenting a big story for the first time.
Takano: What prompted you to start producing rakugo performances?
Tachibana: As I mentioned earlier, rakugo saved my life, so I was looking for something that I could contribute to the performers and the audience, not just photographs. It was at that time that I was approached and we started with a small hall.

Tachibana: We announce various events on X and other places, so please check them out.
Celeina: Thank you very much. Lastly, I would like to ask you what you think is the charm of Rakugo.
Tachibana: I think it is the enjoyment that different listeners can see in their minds. I think it is the same with radio, where various elements such as tone of voice and rhythm are intertwined, and each person paints a different scene.
