The first lineup has been announced for “VIVA LA ROCK 2026,” taking over Saitama City for four days from May 3 to 6.
Now in its 13th year, the festival will break new ground in 2026 with its first-ever outdoor edition. With Saitama Super Arena closed for major renovations, the event will move to a specially built open-air site around Saitama Stadium 2002. Four stages are planned, maintaining the festival’s usual scale.
The initial artist announcement features 28 acts, including Suchmos, Creepy Nuts, 10-FEET, SHISHAMO, KANA-BOON, Macaroni Enpitsu, My Hair is Bad, Maximum the Hormone, 04 Limited Sazabys, Frederic, Yabai T-Shirts Yasan, HEY-SMITH, coldrain, and Harukamirai, among others. Performance dates for each artist have also been revealed.
Tickets are currently available via the festival’s official app, with the first round of advance sales offered on a first-come, first-served basis through Sunday, February 15. Children of elementary school age and under may enter free of charge when accompanied by a parent or guardian, with one child admitted per adult.
Following last year, the festival will once again team up with Akira Ishige of the telephones to host the music audition “VIVA LA CHANCE – U-22 SAITAMA Music Audition –” Vol.2. Open to emerging artists aged 22 and under, the audition’s grand prize winner will earn a spot on the “VIVA LA ROCK 2026” lineup. Applications are also now open for workshop exhibitors to take part in on-site programs during the festival.
