Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO is launching a bold new live series on Tuesday, February 24, with the first edition of ”QUATTRO Alternative #1,” a self-produced project aimed at expanding the venue’s role as a platform for boundary-pushing music.
The opening night brings together three acts from across Asia who operate far outside conventional genre lines. Headlining is Mudd the student, a key member of Korean alternative K-pop collective Balming Tiger. Following the release of his debut album ”LAGEON” last November, he will perform in Tokyo with a full band, delivering a high-impact blend of ’90s alternative rock, electronic music, and hip-hop.
Also appearing is Korean artist Parannoul, whose second album ”To See the Next Part of the Dream” received strong international acclaim from media including Pitchfork. Known for his low-profile, near-anonymous activity and emotionally charged shoegaze and emo sound, Parannoul will make his first-ever live appearance in Japan with a solo set.
From Japan, Ohzora Kimishima joins the lineup with a solo performance. Active across solo and ensemble formats, he has built a reputation for performances that are both restrained and intense, earning a devoted following for his distinctive approach to sound and presence.
The event’s visual artwork was created by artist naco gotoh. Advance tickets are currently available through a lottery system until Monday, January 26 at 11:59 PM.
