Japan’s leading hip-hop festival ”POP YOURS” has revealed its first wave of 37 artists, announcing a major expansion for its upcoming edition. The festival will run from April 3 to April 5 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Halls 1–6 in Chiba, marking its first-ever three-day run.
Launched in 2022 with the theme of hip-hop as pop culture in the 2020s, ”POP YOURS” has quickly grown into one of the country’s largest hip-hop events. Now in its fifth year, the festival is scaling up both its venue and its ambitions.
The newly announced lineup was unveiled via the festival’s official YouTube channel. DAY 1 will be headlined by LANA, joined by Elle Teresa, guca owl, Bonbero, eyden, ISSUGI, Jinmenusagi, Litty, Peterparker69, Pxrge Trxxxper, VaVa, and WILYWNKA. Adding a special highlight to the day, STUTS Orchestra is set to deliver a one-of-a-kind live performance.
With more announcements still to come, ”POP YOURS” is shaping up to be a defining moment for Japan’s hip-hop scene this spring.
DAY 2 will be headlined by Yuki Chiba, with performances confirmed from Daichi Yamamoto, Kvi Baba, BIM, Jin Dogg, Manaka, 7, ralph, SALU, SPARTA, Worldwide Skippa, and Yvng Patra.
The final day, DAY 3, will see KEIJU take the headline slot, joined by Kohjiya, NENE, ACE COOL, ANARCHY, C.O.S.A., Jellyyabashi, Kaneee, lilbesh ramko, MIKADO, Peanuts-kun, and Tete. Additional artist announcements and related content will be revealed at a later date.
Alongside the lineup announcement, early-bird lottery ticket sales have officially opened. Limited quantities of Gold Tickets, which grant access to a dedicated area close to the stage, are available, as well as special tickets bundled with an exclusive BlackEyePatch collaboration T-shirt.
In addition, a special live-stream program compiling highlight moments from artists who performed at the past four editions of ”POP YOURS” is scheduled to air on the festival’s official YouTube channel on December 20.
