A new music event, docomo presents THE MUSIC STADIUM 2026 organized by ONE OK ROCK, is set to take place on April 4 and 5, 2026, at MUFG Stadium (National Stadium) in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
The festival is part of MUFG Stadium’s upcoming initiative, “KOKURITSU NEXT,” launching in April 2026. With the concept of creating a new “summit of music,” the event aims to shape the future of Japanese music by bringing together multiple artists for live performances alongside a variety of creative and experiential projects.
ONE OK ROCK will both endorse and participate in the event, contributing to the lineup and overall concept. Details on participating artists, program highlights, and ticketing will be released progressively on the official event website.
In response to the announcement, Chikako Sakurai, Executive Officer and Head of the Entertainment Platform Division at NTT DOCOMO, and Taka from ONE OK ROCK shared comments celebrating the collaboration and the vision for the new music experience.
Chikako Sakurai, Executive Officer and Head of Entertainment Platform Division, NTT DOCOMO:
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of THE MUSIC STADIUM at the newly reopened MUFG Stadium (National Stadium). This historic venue, steeped in so many memorable moments, will now bring together world-class artists and music-loving fans to create new milestones in music history. We hope to make this a recurring event, starting with this inaugural edition in collaboration with the globally renowned ONE OK ROCK. Beyond the event itself, we are committed to leveraging the KOKURITSU NEXT initiative to further energize the surrounding MUFG Stadium area. We hope everyone looks forward to what’s coming.”Taka (ONE OK ROCK):
“We are extremely excited to perform at the National Stadium for the first time and to collaborate with DOCOMO on this event. Since the early planning stages, we have built an excellent relationship with Chikako Sakurai and the DOCOMO team, which has made the process incredibly smooth and rewarding. Together with DOCOMO, we aim to deliver a successful event that envisions the future of Japanese entertainment.”
The name “MUFG Stadium” reflects Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group’s role as the first National Stadium Partner under a top-tier partnership agreement with the National Stadium. The designation is applied from January 2026, except in cases where operations must follow the Clean Stadium rules set by sports organizations or other applicable regulations.
