Fender has announced the Fender | Godzilla 70th Anniversary Collaboration Collection in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Godzilla. Pre-orders will begin on Saturday, October 11.
From the Fender Custom Shop—the brand’s highest-grade line, where each instrument is meticulously handcrafted—comes the Limited Edition Masterbuilt Godzilla Stratocaster. This special model was created by Master Builder Andy Hicks in collaboration with Los Angeles–based artist Tom Neely.
Equipped with a specially designed internal circuit, the guitar can reproduce Godzilla’s iconic roar during performance. It also features a unique finish that glows vividly under blacklight, evoking the image of Godzilla unleashing its radioactive heat beam.

price: 5,500,000 yen (tax included)
From Fender’s Japan-made line, two special models will be released: the Made in Japan Godzilla Stratocaster Blue and the Made in Japan Godzilla Stratocaster Black.
The Godzilla Stratocaster Blue, available through Fender-authorized dealers across Japan, features an alder body topped with myrtle wood and a deep blue gloss finish. The Godzilla logo is inlaid near the 12th fret of the fingerboard.
When the Tone 2 knob is pressed, the built-in distortion circuit activates the “GLO – Gain-Linked Optics” mechanism, which adjusts the intensity of light based on the distortion level. As the player performs, Godzilla’s dorsal fins—illustrated on the pickguard—illuminate in sync with the sound, expressing the image of an enraged Godzilla unleashing its radioactive heat beam through light and tone.
Equipped with custom-developed Custom Godzilla Humbucking pickups, the model delivers a powerful heavy sound. It also comes with a special neck plate, a certificate of authenticity, and a dedicated hard case.

price: 495,000 yen (tax included)
The Made in Japan Godzilla Stratocaster Black will be available exclusively at Fender Flagship Tokyo in Harajuku and through Fender Japan’s official online store.
Inspired by the monochrome aesthetic of the original Godzilla film, this model features a deep black finish achieved by combining an alder body with a myrtle wood top. Its monochrome design captures the atmosphere of the classic 1954 movie while showcasing striking visual details such as a fingerboard inlay of the Godzilla logo.
Like its blue counterpart, it includes the GLO (Gain-Linked Optics) mechanism, which recreates Godzilla’s radioactive heat beam through synchronized light and sound, along with custom-developed humbucking pickups. The model also comes with a serial-numbered neck plate, a certificate of authenticity, and a dedicated hard case, making it a true collector’s edition.

price: 495,000 yen (tax included)
A specially designed pick set, the Fender | Godzilla Collaboration Picks, will also be released. The set includes 12 unique picks, each featuring a different design. Some display the Fender logo in a Katakana-style Godzilla font, others feature motifs inspired by Japanese culture, and some depict Godzilla’s rocky skin against a background reminiscent of a golden folding screen. The slide-top tin that holds the picks is decorated with Godzilla’s footprints, as if the monster has stomped through the ground.

In addition, a distortion pedal designed to evoke the sound of the King of Monsters, the Godzilla Distortion, is scheduled for release in spring 2026. It covers a wide range of tones, from heavy, crushing rhythms to sharp, striking leads. Its active Treble & Bass controls allow precise adjustment of roughness and brightness, while the Distortion knob delivers an ultra-thick sound. Featuring Godzilla artwork, the pedal will be produced in limited quantities. At Fender Flagship Tokyo, advance reservations will be available exclusively to customers who purchase an electric guitar in-store.

At Fender Flagship Tokyo, the Fender original apparel brand F IS FOR FENDER will release collaboration T-shirts and caps. Meanwhile, the Fender Cafe will offer a limited-time collaboration drink, the Godzilla Charcoal Latte, available from Saturday, October 11, through Friday, October 31.
