Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada have teamed up for “JANE DOE”, the ending theme for the upcoming theatrical release of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, set to premiere on Friday, September 19.
The song features lyrics and composition by Yonezu, with Utada providing the vocals. This marks Yonezu’s continued involvement in the franchise, following his work on the anime’s opening theme “KICK BACK” and the movie’s main theme “IRIS OUT”.
Alongside the announcement, details for the double A-side single IRIS OUT / JANE DOE, releasing on Wednesday, September 24, were revealed. The single will be available in three editions: the IRIS OUT Edition, the JANE DOE Edition, and a standard edition.
The IRIS OUT Edition includes a special pouch case featuring a Polaroid and acrylic stand of Reze, drawn by Yonezu. The JANE DOE Edition comes with a DVD containing the official trailer for the movie, the KICK BACK music video, and live footage. First-press bonuses across editions include a serial code for the second round of advance ticket applications for Kenshi Yonezu 2026 TOUR / GHOST.
A teaser video featuring JANE DOE has also been released, accompanied by comments from both Yonezu and Utada, generating anticipation for the film and the new single.
