Taeko Onuki has announced her first overseas concert, set to take place on February 7, 2026, at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Alongside this long-awaited international debut, Onuki will also headline a special 50th anniversary concert in Tokyo on November 22, 2025, at Hitomi Memorial Hall in Sangenjaya.
The Tokyo performance is part of Onuki’s annual year-end concert series, which has been held at Hitomi Memorial Hall since 2020. Titled Celebrating 50 Years, this year’s edition marks half a century since her 1975 debut as a member of Sugar Babe. To honor the milestone, the concert will bring together long-time collaborators and special guests including Chris Parker, Yoshiyuki Sahashi, Hanaregumi, and Ichiko Aoba. Fans can expect a carefully curated setlist that spans beloved classics and rarely performed gems, offering a comprehensive look back at her musical legacy.
Meanwhile, Taeko Onuki Live in L.A. will be held at the historic Wiltern Theatre, a renowned Art Deco landmark and one of Los Angeles’s most iconic live venues. The concert marks a new chapter for Onuki, whose influence has grown globally in recent years amid renewed interest in Japanese city pop.
Tickets for the Tokyo show will be available through a presale lottery from noon on Friday, July 11, to 11:59 pm on July 27 (JST). Tickets for the Los Angeles performance will go on general sale at 10 am local time on July 15.
