The third wave of artists has been revealed for RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2025 in EZO, set to take place on August 15 (Fri) and 16 (Sat) at a special outdoor stage beside the Tarukawa Pier in Ishikari Bay New Port, Hokkaido.
Since its launch in 1999, RISING SUN has stood out as Japan’s leading all-night outdoor rock festival, with audiences gathering to greet the Sunday sunrise. Alongside its eclectic music lineup, the festival is known for offering local Hokkaido cuisine, nature-inspired areas, and on-site camping.
This round of additions brings 16 new acts to the bill, including Aina The End, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, Answer to Remember, THE＆, imase, Ohashi Trio, Ohzora Kimishima (Ensemble Set), Suchmos, Satoko Shibata (Band Set), BEGIN, FIVE NEW OLD, berry meet, Hiroji Miyamoto, Naotaro Moriyama, Sawao Yamanaka, and LOSALIOS.
Suchmos is making their first appearance at the festival in seven years, following a four-year hiatus and upcoming restart in June. Several of the newly announced artists—imase, Ohzora Kimishima, Satoko Shibata, and Answer to Remember—will be performing at RISING SUN for the first time.
These 16 artists join an already diverse lineup that includes Ringo Sheena, Sunny Day Service, Quruli, NOT WONK, and RIP SLYME, bringing the total number of announced acts to 67. Set times and performance dates for all artists have also been released.
Tickets are available for the “Fastest Lottery Entry” through Pia until Wednesday, May 28, which includes special perks: an exclusive pass case and a pre-shipped admission wristband.
