The first wave of artists for the ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025 has been revealed, with performances set to take place at Soga Sports Park in Chiba from September 13 (Saturday) to 15 (Monday, holiday) and from September 20 (Saturday) to 21 (Sunday).
Founded in 2000, the ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL is one of Japan’s largest and most iconic music festivals, organized by the Rockin’ On Group, the publisher behind the ROCKIN’ON JAPAN magazine. Traditionally held in August, the festival will move to the September Silver Week in 2025, a decision made in response to concerns about heatstroke prevention during the summer months.
The festival’s first artist lineup includes 79 acts in total. On September 13 (Saturday), 15 artists, including Creephyp, Kessoku Band, SEKAI NO OWARI, Chanmina, HANA, BE:FIRST, and ME:I, will perform. September 14 (Sunday) will see 16 acts take the stage, including ILLIT, IS:SUE, Omoinotake, Kento Kocchi, Saucy Dog, Vaundy, Porno Graffitti, and Hiroji Miyamoto. On September 15 (Monday, holiday), 16 performers, including aiko, imase, jo0ji, SKY-HI, MAZZEL, Morning Musume ’25, and UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, will be featured.
The second weekend, September 20 (Saturday), will present another 16 artists, including Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Kroi, Juice=Juice, SUPER BEAVER, sumika, FRUITS ZIPPER, My Hair is Bad, Yabai T-Shirt Shop, and WANIMA. The final day, September 21 (Sunday), will feature 16 more performances from acts such as INI, SHISHAMO, Maximum the Hormone, MAN WITH A MISSION, Reisai, RADWIMPS, and RIP SLYME.

A total of 115 artists are scheduled to perform at the ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025, with 23 acts each day over the 5-day event. The first round of ticket presale is now underway through the official app J Fes, with applications open until 4 PM on May 20 (Tuesday).
