The “MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025” has revealed that eight top artists will perform at the prestigious awards ceremony, set to take place over two days at the ROHM Theatre Kyoto on May 21 and 22, 2025.
The “MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN,” a newly established international music award, is a collaborative effort by five major music industry organizations in Japan. The event, which aims to recognize the best in Japanese music, will feature a star-studded lineup of performers on May 22 during the Grand Ceremony.
The eight artists confirmed to take the stage are AI, Hikaru Utada, Awich, Creepy Nuts, CHANMINA, Fujii Kaze, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, and YOASOBI. While each of these artists has been nominated in various categories for Best Artist/Best Work, their performances are set to take place independently of the awards themselves. Notably, Hikaru Utada will participate with a pre-recorded performance.
The Grand Ceremony will also include the announcement of the winners in six major categories, as well as speeches and trophy presentations. The event will be broadcast live on NHK General TV, and fans can also tune in to live streams of the Grand Ceremony and the Premiere Ceremony on May 21 through YouTube and radiko.
