POP YOURS, one of Japan’s largest hip-hop festivals, has announced that it will be live-streamed on YouTube. The festival is set to take place on May 24 (Saturday) and May 25 (Sunday) at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Halls 9-11 in Chiba.
This year marks the fourth edition of POP YOURS, which celebrates hip-hop as a central aspect of 2020s pop culture. Since its inaugural event, the festival has streamed its performances on YouTube, with last year’s broadcast drawing around 370,000 viewers in 2023 and an impressive 560,000 viewers in 2024.
For 2025, ¥ellow Bucks will headline on DAY 1, while JJJ will headline DAY 2. Despite JJJ’s tragic passing on April 13 at a Tokyo hospital, the festival has confirmed that his scheduled performance will proceed as planned. DJ YUTO will serve as the opening DJ for DAY 1, with MARZY performing on DAY 2.
In addition to the live-streamed performances, the event will feature exclusive tracks, with “PAGE ONE” by Tsubaki and Kohjiya being released on April 23, and “I JUST” by Swetty and Elle Teresa set to drop on April 30. Further exciting announcements are expected in the lead-up to the festival.
The YouTube live stream is scheduled to start at 11:00 AM on both DAY 1 and DAY 2. Tickets for the event venue have already sold out.
