The Kyoto Music Expo 2025 will take place at Umekoji Park in Kyoto on October 11 (Saturday) and October 12 (Sunday).
This annual outdoor music festival, hosted by the Kyoto-based rock band QURULI, has been held every year since 2007. QURULI will perform on both days of the festival, joined by a wide array of artists from Japan and overseas.
In keeping with past years, the event will feature a special project, which involves setting up composting stations at Umekoji Park. This initiative turns food scraps and leftovers from the food area into compost, reinforcing the event’s commitment to sustainability. With the overarching theme of “Environment, Culture, and Music”, the festival also strives to contribute to local community development.
Alongside the event announcement, pre-sale ticket reservations are now open for annual members of QURULI’s official fan club. Student tickets are also available for purchase.
Looking ahead, 2026 marks QURULI’s 30th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the Kyoto Music Exposition. The 2025 event will serve as a significant milestone leading up to these landmark celebrations, with additional performer announcements and continued emphasis on environmental and cultural initiatives expected to capture attention in the coming months.
