The final additions to the lineup for “STARFESTIVAL 2025”, set to take place on May 17 (Sat) and May 18 (Sun) in Kyoto, have been officially announced.
Held annually in Kyoto’s Nantan City at Kyoto Fumin no Mori Hiyoshi (Hapirō! no Mori Kyoto), “STARFESTIVAL” is an outdoor music festival known for its diverse selection of dance music from both Japan and abroad. The festival offers a 30-hour non-stop experience, running from Saturday morning through Sunday evening, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in music amidst a scenic natural setting.
This year’s final lineup features Yoshinori Sunahara, YAMA, and MADKOSMOS, all renowned Japanese artists with strong global influence. Joining them are Yung Singh, recognized for his genre-fluid DJ style, and Vegyn, known for his dreamy, atmospheric soundscapes. The biggest highlight of the announcement is French techno icon Laurent Garnier, often regarded as one of the world’s top three DJs, who continues to perform at the forefront of the electronic music scene.
Additionally, the festival has confirmed that Binh, DJ Masda, and Nicolas Lutz, who were previously announced, will come together for a special back-to-back long set, promising an unforgettable performance for festivalgoers.
With this final lineup reveal, anticipation for “STARFESTIVAL 2025” is at an all-time high as it prepares to bring world-class dance music to Kyoto this spring.
