The fourth wave of artist announcements for SUMMER SONIC 2025 has arrived, with major acts confirmed to perform at the festival, set for August 16 (Saturday) and 17 (Sunday).
As Japan’s largest music festival, SUMMER SONIC, often referred to as “Samasoni,” takes place annually in both Tokyo and Osaka, drawing in top-tier global and domestic artists. In 2024, the festival sold out all of its dates across the two cities, with a total attendance of 258,000, including the pre-party event SONICMANIA.
For the 24th edition of the festival, SUMMER SONIC 2025 will return to its iconic locations: ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Tokyo, as well as Expo Memorial Park in Suita, Osaka. Previously announced headliner FALL OUT BOY will take center stage, alongside acts such as Official HIGE DANDism, Camila Cabello, BABYMETAL, and LANA.
In the latest announcement, three exciting new acts have been revealed, including Alicia Keys, who will perform in Japan for the first time in 12 years. The 17-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter will headline in Osaka on August 16 and Tokyo on August 17. Also added to the lineup are rising R&B icon Tinashe and the dance and vocal group BE:FIRST, who are signed to SKY-HI’s BMSG label.
Pre-sale tickets for both the Tokyo and Osaka shows are now available for fans eager to attend this star-studded event.
