The first wave of artists for VIVA LA ROCK 2025 has been unveiled. Scheduled to run for four days from May 3 (Saturday, a public holiday) at Saitama Super Arena, this highly anticipated rock festival will feature an impressive lineup of 15 initial acts: AFJB, CLAN QUEEN, coldrain, SiM, jo0ji, 10-FEET, Dos Monos, Neguse., Billyrrom, muque, Shikon, Yabai T-Shirt Shop, luv, Lucky Kilimanjaro, and LANA. Organizers plan to add more performers over time, with the final lineup expected to include nearly 100 artists.
The festival will be staged using the full-scale “stadium mode” of Saitama Super Arena. In conjunction with the announcement of the first lineup, VIVA LA ROCK has started its first round of ticket presales through the official event app. Vendors interested in participating in food and beverage sales can also apply, following the success of the previous event.
Tomoko Ariizumi, the producer of VIVA LA ROCK, has also shared her thoughts on the festival’s upcoming edition, generating further excitement among fans.
The first lineup of artists for the 12th edition of VIVA LA ROCK 2025 has been announced, and excitement is already building. We are thrilled to share this initial lineup and to showcase the incredible artists who will join us. Some might wonder, “Why announce this so early, even though it’s only November?” While the full lineup is not yet complete, we are currently in the process of planning next year’s event, considering what kind of VIVA LA ROCK we want to create. We are aiming to feature nearly 100 artists and will continue to reveal more acts each month leading up to the spring.
There are two main reasons we announce artists at an early stage. First, we want everyone to feel part of the process of shaping the next VIVA LA ROCK and to share in the excitement leading up to the event. The second and primary reason is that we hope these early announcements give you opportunities to explore the music of these performers.
Among the artists announced this time, many will be making their debut at VIVA LA ROCK. For some of you reading this, it might be the first time you’re diving into their music. We encourage you to give it a listen—festivals are all about discovering new sounds. Our goal at VIVA LA ROCK is to create as many opportunities as possible for you to encounter unknown music that resonates with you. We hope that, as we continue to announce new names, you will enjoy their music and find joy in the diversity and creativity of their performances. We’re confident that you will discover music that touches your heart and enriches your daily life. We look forward to building VIVA LA ROCK 2025 with you and sharing in the excitement this coming spring.
Alongside this first lineup announcement, the initial round of ticket presales has started. Please note that ticket prices have been increased, marking the second price hike since the pandemic. While we held prices steady for the 2024 event after much deliberation, we have made this difficult decision due to rising production costs driven by inflation and increased labor expenses. We appreciate your understanding.
Children under elementary school age will still be allowed to enter for free, with one child admitted per accompanying parent.
Applications for food vendors at VIVA LA ROCK are also open. This initiative, introduced for the first time in 2024, was successful in expanding the food offerings at VIVA LA GARDEN, and we’re excited to continue this in 2025. We look forward to welcoming more vendors and enhancing the food experience for attendees.
With about five months to go, we hope you’ll continue to follow the upcoming announcements and join us in anticipation for the event. As the winter season approaches, please take good care of yourselves. We can’t wait to see you at VIVA LA ROCK 2025 in May!
